Retreat this weekend -- sign-up sheet passed around.

"40 years, 40 heroes" from The Advocate activity. Collage of 40 famous faces--40 heroes in the LGBT community that we should know.


E-board Report

President -- (no report)

Vice President -- Jena 6 -- group in the South, discriminated, convicted of assaulting a white student. Ridiculous accusations, etc. Charges for attempted man-slaughter. One student convicted for 20 years. Wear all black or all green tomorrow.

(Protest being act of violence--bogus. The material was located in an emergency guide. Protests are not punishable.)

Treasurer -- Bill from MUB, going to pay soon.

Secretary -- See me after meeting to be added to the listserv [Lincoln yells at Andrew for having attempted to steal his job--**diva/cat-fight**--Lincoln dominates. jk Andrew--you're fabulous, just don't ever steal my job again. mwahaha]

Advisors Report

Phopp -- Come to retreat. More later.

Marg -- (no report)

Nancy -- (not present) Driving themselves--on pride-l. Dianne will send out direction to the list. Phopp also posted directions on the Facebook group. Nancy is looking forwared to seeing everyone, even though she will only be there for four hours!


Old Business

Safe Place Presentation -- Went over well! Fourth invitation to a dept event, Fundamentals of Engineering.

Gay? Fine By Me -- Who is interested being on committe? Christian, Steve, Jeff. IRHC is being split in two--Governmental meeting on Oct 1, 7 pm. Go to E-board meeting at 6 pm. Committee needs to meet and prepare--only a 5 min presentation (ppt optional, but it wouldn't hurt)--Office G17W. New advisor--Travis Pierce!!!!

Pride Week -- Committee. Who wants to head it? Elsa is questionable right now....Chelsey, Dawn to co-chair.

Lock-in -- Meet at 5, rides leave at 5:30 pm this Friday. Food is available, bring snacks, swimming suit, towel, pillow, sleeping bag, toiletries, board games, bring Munchkin, Apples to Apples (???).

Participating in Wellness Week -- Committees...group meeting...before the meeting next week. Safer sex theme.

NCOD -- Anything other than a chalking circle and a table? Hours to staff the table: Elsa and Chelsey can staff it from 2-5. Sign up sheet to be sent out. [October 11]

Bibliography -- all done for Resource Center, we just need to review it!

Road Cleanup -- Larry: Adopt-a-Highway. Interested in doing clean-up? [massive amounts of hands raise] Larry will research further.

Phone in KP Office -- Not necessary, everyone has cellphones. Not free. Big NO.
