Committee meetings begin (w/o quorum) 7:07 pm. E-board meeting 7:36 pm. Break 7:55 pm. General Meeting begins 8:01 pm.

- Austria considering civil partnerships
- ENDA vote postponed -- likely to be vetoed by the White House--violates freedom of religion...hmmm...
- Dumbledore is gay.
- Gay men may face more descrimination than lesbians in the workplace...[debate]...
- New Jersey--domestic partnerships are not the same as marriage, new fight for marriage.
- 136 in congress to get rid of Don't Ask, Don't Tell.

- Nancy: Thanksgiving--anyone who will be here are more than
welcome to join! NCBI, another workshop in January, shortly after
classes start at MTU--actual skill-building around problems. If anyone
has any scenarios for any LGBT support issues, please drop Nancy a
line! (see listserv) Invite Finlandia students/faculty/staff.

- Meeting with Coprorate Advisory board -- upsetting, few knew
about Safe Place. Diversity...was not mentioned in the Diversity
presentation.

New Business:
- LGBT College Recruiting Fair -- good news! Same people that do
the Campus Climate Index. Philadelphia, Dec 1st and next
Spring--$1,000 to go (weekend of the NMU drag show). Training through
admissions would be required. Those interested: Marg, Andrew, Dan,
Ben, Dawn. Flying: up to 2 people. Driving: up to 4 people (19 hrs).
- World AIDS Day --discuss any plans?
- Something other than just a table/ribbons. SAT, Dec 1--move back to Friday (NMU Drag Show). Michigan AIDS quilt
- Halloween Meeting next week? Dress up! Trick-or-Treating!
