March 21-23 Queer Yooper conference -- Peninsula Group, HRC to hopefully come on their own money! Looking forward to interactive lectures, not "come down-state for elections..." blah. Make contacts for people to attend. Drop Gail a line if you are interested.
Lila's father would be interested in coming here for a lecture at his own expensive.
E-board / committe members are strongly encouraged to lead a discussion or activity for a "social" discussion half of a meeting. Other members and random people are also invited to lead any discussion or activity with topics pertaining to LGBT, etc.
Communicate with other student orgs / make liasons with other -minority- groups. SEB -- events in Rozsa (or Fisher 135). Campus event (can more easily use Fisher 135) or be more community-involved (Rozsa would be better). Involve USG ($$$). Emphasis on tolerance on other people--not just LGBT--to involve other minority groups. World Cultures event!!! Make it happen!
Nich and Elsa to work with Lila (Lila's father to give presentation?) to speak with the World Cultures people--maybe then the Rozsa fee would be paid for!
Rozsa is a semi-difficult place for an after-discussion. Move to a different location for discussion immediately after? Fisher?
Remember to include other orgs...
Lila's dad is likely to stay for a week, thus he could give several lectures--include local student districts!
Committee to form said lecture/series of lectures to involve other orgs and the community: Elsa, Larry, Amber, Lucas, Nich, Dan. (Update Nancy, Dianne, and Lila).
Early December...or January.
Outreach to the Greek community.
Theta Taus need speakers annually--possibilities?
Marg is an advisor for a fraternity and a sorority; Travis as well.
